Movie of the Month: Burlesque

Hoola guys! Have you seen the movie Burlesque? Its the movie I was diggin' the whole month of January. I downloaded the movie and watched it the whole month of January. I never get tired of watching it. The dance numbers were just spectacular that I can't keep my eyes away from the beautiful dancers. I was fascinated of the makeup looks and costumes of the dancers. And got the idea of recreating one as a tutorial! :)
One of my favorite dancers was named "Georgia", she's a beautiful redhead and turns out be pregnant. :)

PLOT:

Ali (Christina Aguilera) is a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to LA. After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater that is home to an inspired musical revue, Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess (Cher), the club’s proprietor and headliner. Burlesque’s outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture the young Ali, who vows to perform there one day.
Soon enough, Ali builds a friendship with a featured dancer (Julianne Hough), finds an enemy in a troubled, jealous performer (Kristen Bell), and garners the affection of Jack (Cam Gigandet), a bartender and fellow musician. With the help of a sharp-witted stage manager (Stanley Tucci) and gender-bending host (Alan Cumming), Ali makes her way from the bar to the stage. Her spectacular voice restores The Burlesque Lounge to its former glory, though not before a charismatic entrepreneur (Eric Dane) arrives with an enticing proposal...

the movie poster :)

Here are some scenes from the movie:

Shot from the "Express" number.

Shot from "I am a Good Girl" number.

Shot from the final dance number "Show Me How You Burlesque".

Shot from my favorite scene "Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend" :)

I highly recommend you watch this movie. Two thumbs up!!

Metal Eyes

The looong break is done! So here is another tutorial for you lovelies! As you can see from the pictures, this look is made up of metallic and shimmery eyeshadows. I was never a big fan of frosted or metallic shadows. As you know, if neighbors saw you walking at the street with your eyes shining even brighter than the sun, you can hear "OOHs" and "AHHs" When people look at me that way, I was like... "What the hell.. You're too old to understand my fashion." Hahaha! :)

Anyhow, I used the Kat Von D True Romance Eyeshadow Palette in Metal Orchestra. The palette is AMAZING so definitely check it out. . I'll post a review on it one of these days. Here's the photos of the look!

Stress Free!

This past few weeks, I was a total wreck. I was so stressed out. I think I even lost a few pounds. It's hard when you have to take care of so many things and have to think for solutions on your problems with just a little time for thinking. I am thankful that this last Monday night I was able to unwind with the help of my friends Lally and Erika. I was also surprised to figure out that my only way to become stress-free aside from doing makeup (of course!) is by EATING. I noticed I began craving for food, and I started cooking different menus to satisfy those cravings. So, last monday night, I did not cook but we ate at the Cafe Mediterranean, one of those restos you can find at the Alabang Town Center. I was amazed by the flavors of the spices as I dipped the Lamb meat to it. Definitely worth the cost :)

The refillable Iced Tea is definitely a favorite of mine. :)

It's CJ and her mom Ate Chi

Erika and Lally, the Tag Team partners. :D

The Lamb meal, yea kinda exotic if you'd ask me.

Isn't it tasty? Erika's diggin' the lamb! :)

After eating from the Cafe Mediterranean, we enjoyed a cup of sundae from Dairy Queen and some frap drinks from Starbucks. Yea it's a lot of eating we did but it was fun! Definitely better than a bottle of beer. :)
So stay stress-free by eating! It helps a lot! Enjoy! :)

HEY

It's been a long time since my last post here on my blog. I just had no time to type down anything this past 1 month. But, I'll be back with more tutorials soon! So stay tuned! Xoxo! :)

The Hair!

Oh yes. I was watching Scott Pilgrim VS The World last night and I spotted the leading lady's hair. This character named Ramona Flowers got an attractive hairstyle. The character was played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead and what a gorgeous lady she really is! I was like "WOW" (yeah big letters!) as I watch the movie until the very end. Why? Because Ramona's hair color was changing! And she still looks good on it! haha here take a look!

The first hair color! Yea its purple!

The second is blue!

The last was green!

And she still looks good! I always wanted to have a short hair but was too scared to get my hair cut!
Hah! I got a crush on her! Dammit! :)
You definitely would want to go and check out that movie! The soundtrack's cool too!
OMG I love her! :)
